Functional Testing in
Nutritional Therapy can fast-track discovery to potential root causes of your health concerns. Helping us with a clear plan of what and where to address first. Certain tests can be requested
and done with your GP. Zoe can help you request these with a letter to your GP.
A few of the tests
that may be recommended:
- Digestive Function -If dysfunctional can cause digestive, skin, brain, inflammatory disorders along with autoimmune diseases, intolerances and
dysregulated mood and cognitive function.
- Methylation - poor methylation can manifest in disorders in energy, detoxification, brain and heart health.
- Adrenal Function - poor adrenal function can lead to conditions such as: stress, anxiety, poor sleep, fatigue and burnout.
- Blood panels to- access cholesterol, liver, kidney function along with blood sugar and more (we can often write to your GP requesting these depending on your health
concerns).
- Food sensitivity - to further indicate potential intolerances following a symptom tracker/ flare up diary.
- Blood panels for Vitamin levels- to access any vital suboptimal levels of vital nutrients such as vitamin D and B vits that could be contributing to health
concerns (we can sometimes write to your GP requesting these depending on your health concerns).
- Genetic profile -can help indicate vulnerability to certain types of disease which can assist us in guiding your nutritional health programme.
- Hormone profile- looking at key hormones to indicate if further support is needed particularly in perimenopause.
- Alzheimer’s Risk- can indicate if you are vulnerable to the disease and help us map out a health plan to support prevention.
