Moms, Babies and Children

CST is highly recognised in helping mothers, babies and children

Its gentle yet effective approach with very light touch makes it suitable for such fragile beings and can help settle trauma from birth interventions which can manifest in feeding issues, colic, reflux, and neck stiffness to name a few.

Over the years CST has established a good reputation for helping pregnant women, mothers and their babies.

What takes place during a treatment?

When a baby recieves Cranio-Sacral Therapy it is helpful before treatment to understand the journey both mother and baby has been on during the prenancy and the birth.  A small case history and conversation will take place to help establish this.

Your baby can then be made comfortable whilst light touch by the practitioner is used to listen and soften the system into a deeper more relaxed "still" state where natural balance can occur. The light touch is often on feet, spine, head or torso or sometimes other parts depending on where the treatments unfolds in the body.  During some of the treatment the baby and often Mom too can be treated whilst breastfeeding if the mother is comfortable and baby is hungry.
